We have a number of recycling projects in flight ... here is a brief discussion on each of our initiatives

Recycling Awareness - Developing a set of materials for the Windsor community to increase awareness on recycling - we look to launch this in April
Create Outdoor Advertising - Working with the Town on implementing an innovative approach for recycling in public spaces e.g. parks and common areas
Hauler Licensing - Working with the Town and the Front Range to investigate hauler licensing and potentially single hauler program
Future - We are looking at additional projects around composting, preparing for the Extended Producer Responsibilty implementation, working with Larimer and Weld County on waste diversion projects as they relate to Windsor, and fighting for a more sustainable NOCO community (e.g., fighting plastic pyrolysis, the new NOCO Material Recovery Facility (MRF)

Saves Land ... which provides for more productive uses of the land
Saves Energy … reduces energy requirements to make products from recyclables versus raw materials
Saves Money … reduces need for landfills and provides recyclable materials for manufacturing
Saves the Environment … reduces pollution to improve the welfare of our ecosystems

As part of Sustainable Windsor's projects for 2024 - the Recycling Simplified project aims to increase recycling in Windsor and, at the same time, reduce contamination in the recycling process.
